Candlelight Vigil Tonight on Tewksbury Town Common for Newtown Victims

Event organized by resident who wanted to come together as a community for the victims and their families.

A Tewksbury resident is organizing a candlelight vigil to remember the 27 victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting on Friday. Twenty children were killed in the attack, as well as six adults. A 27th victim, the mother of alleged shooter Adam Lanza, was found murdered at her home. The candlelight vigil is scheduled to begin tonight (Saturday, Dec. 15) at 7 p.m. on the Tewksbury Town Common. The organizer of the event, who asked that her name not be published, said she felt sadness and helplessness in the wake of the tragedy and that she felt compelled to do something for the victims and their families.
