Tewksbury Police have apprehended a second suspect in connection with a carjacking/kidnapping that took place on the day after Christmas. Tayla Spencer, 18, of 16 Fowler St, Dorchester, is charged with Kidnapping, Armed Assault with Intent to Murder, Armed Robbery, Carjacking and Conspiracy. According to Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, Spencer was arrested on Jan. 21 in Boston after the Tewksbury Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for her. The arrest was made with the assistance from the Boston Police Department. The arrest is in connection with an incident that took place on Dec. 26. A 23-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly carjacking a man at knifepoint in the parking lot of Motel 6. Jeffrey Venter of Boston, no know address, was arrested in Roxbury on Jan. 1 with the help of the Boston Police Department. Tewksbury Police had obtained an arrest warrant on Ventner, charging him with Kidnapping, Armed Assault with Intent to Murder, Carjacking, Armed Robbery, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault and Battery.
