Ryan Woolaver threw for one touchdown and ran for another to lead the Shawsheen Tech to a 21-0 win over Madison Park in the Eastern Mass. Division 4 semifinals, Tuesday night in Sudbury. With the win, Shawsheen qualifies for the Super Bowl for the first time since 1978, The Rams will travel to Curry College in Milton on Saturday for a showdown with Blue Hills Regional at 10 a.m. "This feels great," said Woolaver, a senior. "The last team to get it done was 1978, this is quite an accomplishment." "We're going bowling!" shouted Coach Al Costabile, as the team gathered after the win. SENIOR DIVISION Giants 27 – Raiders 14 The Giants got their first victory on Sunday against a tough Raiders team. After a great defensive stand in the first quarter, the Giants went on to take the lead 7-0 with a 40 yd touchdown run by Brett Morris. Adding the extra point was David Lindsey off a wide open pass. The Raiders were quick to come back however with a good offensive drive tying the game at 7-7. The second quarter added to the Giants score with a 25 yard run from Scott Patterson and a 53 yard touchdown run from Morris. With the score 13-7 at the half, the Giants came out big again in the third quarter with a touchdown pass to Lindsey, and adding the extra point was Morris. JUNIOR DIVISION Wamesit 26 – Comanche 6 The Wamesit bounced back in a big way with a very impressive 26-6 victory over the Comanche. Kyle Darrigo has become quite the TD machine as he rushed for 4 more TDs on the day from 8, 1, 1 and 8 yards. Cam Paolillo added 2 conversions with tough running. Both runners were helped by strong blocking by Gavin Thomasset, Santino Garofalo and Jack Meuse-Sitar. On defense, Dominic Iannacci came up with a fumble recovery to set up a scoring drive. Colin Powers showed great speed to make a TD-saving tackle. Mike Woodford and Robbie Kimtis terrorized the Comanche in their offensive backfield all day long.
