'Tewksbury's Got Talent' To Showcase Community's Best

Auditions for third annual town-wide talent show set for Nov. 30.

The ever-popular "Tewksbury Has Talent" Show is returning for the third year with the Tryout Night on Nov. 30.  It will be held at the Wynn School starting at 6:10pm. The tryouts are open to all ages from 3rd grade to senior citizens. It is rumored that a group from the senior citizen age bracket will be competing for the first time with the school age citizens that have dominated past programs.  Instrumental performances, dancing, singing, comedy, magic acts, and even martial arts all compete for Historical Society judges and audience judges.  That is correct - the audience can purchase a judging sheet and vote for their favorite group during …

PHOTOS: Krochmal Farms Cares For Kids Fundraiser

The weather was perfect and the cause was excellent, as money was raised for the families of two children battling cancer.

Hundreds of volunteers and guests gathered at Krochmal Farms last weekend for the third annual Krochmal Cares for Kids Fundraiser. Proceeds from this year's event went to the families of Isabelle Marciello, 11, and Nicholas DeFelice, 8. Editor Bill Gilman was on hand and captured these images.

Police Department, Walmart to host Bike Rodeo

Event is part of an effort to promote bike safety among children.

The Tewksbury Police Department would like to help ensure the safety of local children by hosting a bike rodeo at the Tewksbury Wal-Mart, 333 Main St., on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.- (rain date Oct. 2.)  On average, 250 children in the United States under the age of 14 die each year because of a bicycle crash. Another 300,000 children are treated in emergency rooms for severe head injuries. Many of these accidents could have been prevented if these children were riding safe bikes, wore bicycle helmets, and knew the basics about safe bike riding.
