Senior Center to Host Series of Banking Seminars

Plenty happening during the month of April at the Senior Center.

A Gift Shop meeting will be held this Friday, April 5th at 10:00 AM followed by a Receptionist meeting at 11:15 AM. Residents are reminded that Town Elections will be held this Saturday, April 6th from 8 AM to 8 PM. Departure time for the Foxwood day trip of next Monday, April 8th is 7:00 AM sharp. Travelers are reminded to park along the perimeter of the parking lot. Ticket sales for the next casino trip will be distriputed on Tuesday, April 16th at 8:15 AM. Please note that this will be a Tuesday due to the Monday Holiday on April 15th. Home Instead and the Police Safety Officer, Jennie Welch, will conduct a “Fraud and Scams” presentation at the Senior Center next Tuesday, April 9th at 9:30 AM. The Public is welcome to attend. Girl Scouts To Hold Partner/Daughter Dance at Senior Center

Plenty of activities this spring at the Tewksbury Senior Center.

The Upscale Consignment Shop at the Senior Center will hold its “Intake of Items” day next Monday, April 1st from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. We are now taking “spring” clothing items. Winter clothing will no longer be accepted. Residents are reminded that the shop is open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM; on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:00 AM; and, in the evening on “intake Day”. A note of thanks is extended to all those people who worked, donated or patronized the Senior Center Yard Sale which was held this past Saturday. The winners of the day's drawings are listed on the Center's bulletin board and everyone has been contacted. Again, thank you all. Meghan McCarthy Road Race This Sunday at Tewksbury High

Event serves as a fundraiser for the Flying Henrys of the Pan Mass Challenge and the Meghan Mccarthy Brain Tumor Fund.

Three years after her tragic death, the family and friends of Meghan McCarthy continue their efforts to make her name synonymous with the battle waged by cancer patients and the ongoing fight for a cure. The Annual Meghan McCarthy 5K Road Race is scheduled for Sunday, March 24.  The event serves as a fundraiser for the Flying Henrys of the Pan Mass Challenge and the Meghan McCarthy Brain Tumor Fund. The race begins at Tewksbury Memorial High School, 320 Pleasant St. Registration is $15 pre-race and $20 on race day. Check-in is from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. and the race starts at 10 a.m. The event is open to walkers and runners of all ages and there are prizes in each age/gender group.
