Possession of cocaine and oxycontin among the charges.
Ongoing surveillance operations conducted by Tewksbury Police detectives netted another drug arrest last week. Two women and a man were arrested on Friday (Dec. 28) after they were observed allegedly conducting a drug deal in the parking lot of the Home Depot, 85 Main St. According to Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, detectives observed a Honda Civic, occupied by two women later identified as Bianca Figueredo and Angelica Aviles, and a Mercury Sable operated by a man, later identified as Dana Fecteau. According to the detectives' report, they observed Figuerodo leave the Civic and get into the Sable and then saw her conduct a hand-to-hand transaction with Fecteau. A routine traffic stop on Wednesday (March 21) turned into the arrest of a Lawrence man with a history of drug trafficking. According to Tewksbury Police records, an officer pulled over a car for speeding near Pete's Variety, 420 Woburn St., around 1:50 p.m. During the stop, the officer discovered illegal narcotics in the vehicle. According to a Tewksbury Police report, the motion detector at the Bank of America drive through at 986 Main St. went off Sunday (Jan. 8) at around 8 p.m. Officers responded to the scene and discovered Patrick J. Murphy, 25, of 40 Estabrook Road, Carlisle, in the parking lot. A brief investigation found Murphy to be in possession of a variety of drugs. Suspect was injured while trying to climb out third-story window.
A 42-year-old Tewksbury man has been charged with kidnapping after allegedly trapping his girlfriend in his apartment Monday afternoon. David Ahern, of 433 Ames Hill Drive, is believed to have been under the influence of drugs when he allegedly drilled a screw into the door of his apartment, officials said. According to Fire Department officials, Ahern then tried to leave the apartment by climbing out a third story window using sheets. He fell to the ground, injuring himself and then tried to crawl away to avoid detection, according to Fire Lt. Two New Hampshire men arrested with Percoset and cocaine.
Patient surveillance conducted on an area allegedly known for drug transactions netted two arrests Wednesday night. According to a press release issued by Chief Tim Sheehan, detectives were conducting surveillance near the junction of Route 133 (Andover Street) and Route 495. "This area has become known to the Tewksbury Police as a place where numerous drug transactions have been taking place," read the release, in part. In their report, detectives stated that they witnessed a suspected drug transaction taking place. As a result, they conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle with New Hampshire plates.
