A 41-year-old Manchester, NH, was killed on Saturday when he crashed his snowmobile while riding with his young son in Auburn, NH. Keith Ryan Jr., a native of Tewksbury, lost control of the vehicle, it hit a bump and soared approximately 70 feet before crashing into a brook, according to an article published on bostonherald.com. Ryan's nine-year-old son, Aden, was riding in front of his father on the snowmobile just prior to the accident. Family members told the Boston Herald that Aden said his father saved his life by pushing him off the vehicle just before it went airborne. Local and State Police continue to investigate the cause of an accident that has left a 61-year-old Tewksbury man clinging to life in a Boston Hospital. According to a source with knowledge of the situation, the victim is on life-support in the Intensive Care Unit at Boston Medical Center. "It's a very difficult situation for everyone," said the source, who asked that their name not be used, because they are not authorized to speak officially about the case. I deliver newspapers on salem and both ends of south street. I constantly get beeped at for going the speed limit. Last week I was taking a left on mississippi and a car passed me on my left as I was turning left. If I hadn't pulled back in time, i would have been done. They continued to pass me on my left at a high rate of speed.   more ›

A 21-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a single-car crash Tuesday night. Deputy Police Chief John Voto confirmed that the Ronnie Oliveira of Lowell, passed away Wednesday night at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. The accident took place at around 9:15 p.m. at 1411 Andover St. near Sheridan Lane. The man had to be extricated from the vehicle and was then flown by Med-Flight to Beth Israel Hospital. A Tewksbury man who was involved in a fatal head-on crash on Route 38 back in April has an outstanding warrant for his arrest as a fugitive from justice. Edward J. Rivera, 43, whose last known address was 553 Rogers St., Tewksbury, failed to appear in Lowell District Court on Sept. 27 on charges of driving with a revoked license. A bench warrant was immediately issued for Rivera's arrest. The charge was filed by Tewksbury Police in connection to the accident on April 11, 2011 that claimed the life of 40-year-old Stephen Allder of Medford. More than eight months after a head-on collision on Route 38 claimed the life of one man and seriously injured another, the office of District Attorney Gerry Leone has concluded its investigation. According to a spokesman for the DA's office, the accident that killed Stephen Allder, 41, of Medford, was caused with Allder's vehicle crossed over the yellow line and into the path of an oncoming car. The accident took place on April 11 at around 7:30 a.m., on a curve in the road near Mahoney's Garden Center. The DA's investigation did not draw a conclusion as to what caused Allder's car to drift over the center line.
