Geox Helps To Track Down Suspect; Phony Prescription Foiled

Chalk it up as another successful assignment for the Tewksbury Police Department's quadruped cop. K9 Geox helped officers track down a fleeing suspect during a search on Wednesday, Sept. 12 The incident began when an officer was investigating a person acting suspiciously on Woburn St.  near the Salter School. According to Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, that person was identified as Jason Fidalgo, 25, of 27 Bernier St., Lowell. After identifying Fidalgo, officers learned he had an active warrant for his arrest. When he heard he had an outstanding warrant, Fidalgo allegedly took off on foot across Woburn Street near Pete's Variety Store and into the nearby neighborhood.
