Police Forced To Use TASER On Assault Suspect

A woman suspected of assault resisted arrest in such an aggressive manner that Tewksbury Police officers were forced to use a TASER to subdue her. The call came in just after 9 p.m. on Dec. 18. A male caller reported that he had just been assaulted in an apartment on Main Street. Officers responded to the scene and after a brief investigation, attempted to arrest Janice M. Lombardi, 52, 1830 Main St., Apt. 18. According to the police report, Lombardi resisted arrest in such a manner that officers had to administer "2 applications dry stun, 1 taser."
