Gordon L. "Andy" Anderson, age 79, a resident of Tewksbury for 50 years, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Lowell General Hospital, from an apparent heart related condition. He was the beloved husband of Mary C. (MacDougall) Anderson, with whom he celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on July 20, 2012. Born in Mound City, South Dakota on June 8, 1933, he was the son of the late George H. Anderson and the late Elna (Kightlinger) Anderson. Andy was raised in Mound City, SD, attended local schools and graduated from Mound City High School. In 1952, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War aboard the U.S.S.
