Suspect Arrested in Mobil Armed Robbery

Malden resident arrested at Bedford car dealership.

An arrest has been made in connection with the Dec. 17 armed robbery of the Mobil On The Run gas station at 940 Andover St. Sean O'Connor, 25, of 5 Harnden St., Malden, was arraigned Thursday morning in Lowell Distrtict Court, charged with armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon (a gun) and larceny under $250. According to Tewksbury Police Chief Tim Sheehan, investigators caught a break in the case when multiple citizens called police to say they recognized the suspect after surveillance photos were published in the media. On Wednesday, police executed two search warrants. The first search warrant was executed in Bedford, with the cooperation of the Bedford Police Department.  It was executed at Minuteman Volkswagen, 39 North Road…

Tewksbury Rod and Gun Club Holds its Second Annual Open House

Politicians join residents to try pistol shooting, shotgun shooting, assault rifle shooting, trap shooting, and archery.

An open house at the Tewksbury Rod and Gun Club on Saturday turned into something of a political "meet and greet," as candidates for local and statewide office were on hand to participate in the activities. State Rep. Jim Miceli, D-Wilmington, and his GOP challenger, Mario Marchese of Wilmington, as well as State Sen. Richard Tisei, the Republican nominee for lieutenant governor, each tried their hand at various shooting activities. Activities included pistol shooting in the basement of the club, archery, trap shooting with shotguns, assault rifle shooting, musket shooting, and M1 shooting on the outdoor ranges.
