The Redmen were all business, sweeping the twin bill, 9-0 and 6-3. Lefty ace John Chotkowski tossed a 2-hit shutout in the opener. He struck out eight and allowed just one walk. The Tewksbury boys lacrosse team beat the heat, and took down host Wilmington while they were at it. During an unseasonably warm Monday morning contest, the Redmen snagged a 5-1 lead at halftime and held on for a 9-5 win thanks to timely goals in the second frame that helped fight off a Wildcat charge. 10 led the charge with a game-high four goals, 3 had two scores, and three other Redmen cracked the scorebook as well as Tewksbury High improved to 4-3 on the season. The only downside of the game for the locals was an injury to 23, who suffered a knee injury in the third quarter and was carted to an ambulance following the final horn.
