Historical Society Presents "A Patriotic Alarm"

Patriotic play to be performed at the Wynn School.

(Editor's note: The following infroamtion was submitted by Historical Society President David Marcus.) f you do not know who the fellow is on the Tewksbury Town Seal, don't feel bad.  He is Tewksbury's most famous out-of-town visitor!  You will see him in action in the "NEW" TEWKSBURY PATRIOTIC PLAY".  He came from Cambridge, Medford, or Woburn.  No one knows who he was but he was one of many Alarm Riders just as Paul Revere and William Dawes were.  The Alarm Riders were not armed because if arrested by Advance British Regulars that night, April 18th, 1775, they would have arrested him for armed treason to the King of England and New England. We were British back then in 1775 and April 18th were the last day we were British because on …

Some communities are due to receive more local aid from the state than they will actually lose under Prop 2 1/2. Others will recover only a small percentage of what Prop.2 1/2 will take away. Tewksbury and Wilmington and Billerica want to know why…
