Tewksbury Police are asking the public for their assistance in tracking town a truck involved in a property damage hit and run accident on Friday afternoon. A Code Red Alert was sent to residents regarding the accident, which took place at 73 Patten Road, just after 2 p.m. According to the police report, a blue pickup truck towing a yellow wood chipper took out an entire chain link fence along a piece of property. Any residents who can help to identify the vehicle or the driver or who witnessed the accident is asked to contact Tewksbury Police at 978-640-4381. UPDATED: Friday, 10:30 a.m. A Tewksbury woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly causing an accident in Wilmington Tuesday morning in Wilmington and then fleeing the accident scene. Wilmington Police allege Sara Brothers, 32, of 21 Hickory Lane, Tewksbury, was drunk behind the wheel when she struck another vehicle while driving on Salem Street at 1:11 a.m. Salem Street was closed temporarily following the accident and Tewksbury Police provided assistance with the follow up. Police search for driver involved in Tuesday night incident.
UPDATED -- March 21, 3:40 p.m. Tewksbury Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the car and driver involved in a hit-and-run accident Tuesday night (March 20) that left a young woman with serious injuries. According to Tewksbury Police, the accident took place near 550 Whipple Road at around 10:41 p.m. Officers responding to the call arrived at the scene and located the victim, described as a a 29-year-old woman, "lying in a grassy area by the intersection of Whipple Road and Farwood Drive." The victim was given immediate medical attention, and was then taken by ambulance to Saints Memorial Medical Center. A medical flight had originally been requested but was later cancelled. Accident took place in front of Donna's Donuts
A woman remains hospitalized after suffering serious injuries when she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in front of Donna's Donuts. The accident took place around 11:30 a.m, Saturday. According to Deputy Police Chief John Voto, the woman, whose name is not being released, was crossing Route 38 on a crosswalk when she was struck by a black 2005 Jeep Wrangler. The name of the driver has also not been released at this point. However, Voto stated the driver was issued a citation for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. BILL ~ Everytime I've had a problem w/CODE RED I have done just that. I've actually replied to their E-mails letting them know what has worked and what has not worked, just so that they are aware that there are problems, and secondly, what types of problems.
