Tewksbury Police Bust Trio For Alleged Drug Deal Outside Home Depot

Possession of cocaine and oxycontin among the charges.

Ongoing surveillance operations conducted by Tewksbury Police detectives netted another drug arrest last week. Two women and a man were arrested on Friday (Dec. 28) after they were observed allegedly conducting a drug deal in the parking lot of the Home Depot, 85 Main St. According to Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, detectives observed a Honda Civic, occupied by two women later identified as Bianca Figueredo and Angelica Aviles, and a Mercury Sable operated by a man, later identified as Dana Fecteau. According to the detectives' report, they observed Figuerodo leave the Civic and get into the Sable and then saw her conduct a hand-to-hand transaction with Fecteau. Detectives then appraoched the vehicles and conducted futher investigation. …

Couple Arrested For Selling Coke Outside Home Depot

Tewksbury Police Department ramps up efforts to combat drug trafficking.

The Tewksbury Police Department's efforts to stop drug trafficking in town took another step forward Monday night with the arrests of a man and woman selling drugs out of their car in the parking lot of Home Depot. Peter E. Surette IV, 27, of 19 Hancock Circle, Methuen, was arrested and charged with Distribution of a Class B Substance (Cocaine), Possession of a Class B substance (Cocaine), Possession of a Class A Substance (Heroin) and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Act.  Jennifer E. Fed Up Resident Helps Police Nab Alleged Mailbox Vandals

A Beech Street resident who said his mailbox had been vandalized three times previously, was spurred to action when he witnessed it happen for a fourth time early Wednesday morning. Alen Haley said he was standing on his porch at 251 Beech St., smoking a cigarette when a car drove past his house and the front seat passenger slammed his mailbox with a baseball bat. "It's ridiculous," he said. "This is the fourth time it's happened. And I had a pretty good idea of who it was involved because he had posted something about smashing mailboxes on his Facebook page." Furious, Haley went to his car and followed the suspect's vehicle. While driving, he called Tewksbury Police and gave a description of the car and its plate number. As officers were …

Bank of America Helps With Drug Bust

Banks can do a lot of things, but this might be the first time one helped to make a drug bust. According to a Tewksbury Police report, the motion detector at the Bank of America drive through at 986 Main St. went off Sunday (Jan. 8) at around 8 p.m. Officers responded to the scene and discovered Patrick J. Murphy, 25, of 40 Estabrook Road, Carlisle, in the parking lot. A brief investigation found Murphy to be in possession of a variety of drugs. He was arrested and charged with Possession of a class A substance, a class B substance and a class D substance. Shoplifter Slips A Tackle, Thief Steals From Washing Machine

A shoplifter with the skills of a running back managed to slip away from Home Depot security, Sunday evening. Around 6:30 p.m., Tewksbury Police received a call from loss prevention at Home Depot, reporting that they had tackled a man trying to steal a drill. However, the man managed to elude their grasp and ran out of the store. A short time later, a woman called 911 and reported that she saw the suspect running toward Motel 6. A sergeant then spoke to a witness who said they saw the suspect get into a green Stratus or Neon and flee the scene. The witness was unable to provide a license plate number. Thief adds to his haul, quarter-by-quarter (Dec. 18) Around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, a clerk from the Marriott Town Place Suites called police …

Fire Department, Home Depot Team Up For Safety Program

Deputy Chief Al Vasas will be at Home Depot Saturday to educate residents on the latest smoke detector and carbon monoxide regulations.

Ask Deputy Chief Al Vasas of the Tewksbury Fire Department how many times in the last year he has responded to a structure fire and found that the building either didn't have a sufficient number of working smoke detectors and he can give you the answer off the top of his head. "Too many times." "It's been too many times that we've gone to a fire and there either haven't been (enough) smoke detectors or the ones they had weren't working," said Vasas. With that as a motivation, the TFD has partered with Home Depot for a smoke and carbon monoxide education program.
