Is Homeland Security Investigating A Theft At Raytheon's Tewksbury Plant?

Federal law enforcement, company officials tight-lipped regarding search warrant executed.

Federal law enforcement officials are investigating a theft of sensitive materials at a Massachusetts-based defense contractor. According to one Boston news station, he theft may have taken place at the Raytheon plant in Tewksbury.  U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement released the following statement on Monday: “HSI (Homeland Security Investigations) special agents executed a federal search warrant yesterday evening. Because it is sealed, no additional information is publicly available.” On Tuesday, ICE Spokesman Ross Feinstein said the agency would not be making further comment about the case and directed inquiries to the U.S. Attorney's office in Boston. Snow, Ice Expected To Make Thursday Morning Commute Messy

National Weather Service issues Winter Weather Advisory.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Tewksbury for early Thursday, leading into what should be the messiest commute of the season. "There is a moderate to high probability that a winter weather advisory for accumulating snow and/or ice will be needed for a portion of the interior late Wednesday night into Thursday," the NWS says. "There is still some uncertainty but confidence is increasing in a period of wintry precipitation." According to the alert, precipitation should begin around 1 a.m. and should continue through 1 p.m. with snow accumulation totaling 1-4 inches.
