UPDATED: Fans Share Photos Of Star Encounters At 'Grownups 2' Shoot

Rainy weather doesn't deter residents looking for a brush with Hollywood.

A little rain (or even a lot) wasn't going to deter Merrimack Valley residents, hoping to catch a glimpse of some of the stars of "Grownups 2", as the film crew shot scenes at the Tewksbury KMart this week. Filming began on Monday and is expected to conclude Wednesday (May 23) before the crew shifts production to Swampscott and Marblehead. Some fans just caught a fleeting glimpse of stars such as Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and Kevin James, as they entered and existed the store through the garden section. Others were fortunate enough to grab the attention of the actors long enough to grab a quick photo. Sandler, 'Grownups 2' Crew Shooting In Tewksbury Today

Filming began Monday at Tewskbury Kmart.

Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and other members of the cast and crew from 'Grownups 2' will be at the Tewksbury Kmart today (May 22) this morning, filming a scene for the film. Shooting actually began on Monday (May21), according to a report in onlocationvacations.com. According to the report, Sandler, Rock, Kevin James, Nick Swarsdon and Alexander Ludwig (The Hunger Games) were all spotted on location at the Kmart on Route 38 on Monday. Your Child Could Be In The New Adam Sandler/Taylor Lautner Movie

"Grownups 2" set to film in Tewksbury next week.

Rumors and speculation regarding scenes for the new Adam Sandler movie "Grownups 2" being filmed in Tewksbury were confirmed this week. The production crew will be filming at the Tewksbury KMart at least one day (May 23) next week and possibly more. It's unclear, at this time, which of the cast members will be in Tewksbury for the shoot. What is clear, however, is that your child might have the chance to appear in the movie. Excellent Chance Sandler, Lautner Movie Will Shoot Scene In Tewksbury

KMart, production company working out the final details.

What seemed to start out as a pipe dream looks to becoming a reality. According to store officials, there is an excellent chance that a scene from the upcoming movie "Grown Ups 2", starring Adam Sandler and Kevin James, will be shot at the Tewksbury KMart, 10 Main St. KMart store manager Paul Boisvert confirmed that members of the production company for the movie came to the store on Wednesday to scout the location and that the meeting went very well. "We've got to meet one more time to work out some details," said Boisvert. "i think the fact that Sandler is a big fan of KMart has helped." UPDATED: Two Arrested For Stealing Salvation Army Kettle

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

UPDATED: Sunday, Nov. 27, 10:30 a.m. Two men will be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Monday after allegedly stealing money from a charity collection at Stadium Plaza on Friday (Nov. 25). Joseph Sperry, 23, 30 Sycamore St., Lowell, a former Tewksbury resident, was arrested by Lowell Police after being chased from the scene by two good samaritans. Kirk Proctor, 19, of Tewksbury, was later arrested by Tewksbury and Billerica Police in Billerica. According to Tewksbury Police, the incident began just before 2 p.m., when dispatch received a call reporting that a man had just stolen a Salvation Army Kettle in front of Kmart.
