Boston Man Charged With Assaulting, Injuring Pregnant Woman

Woman was allegedly held against her will at Tewksbury motel.

A 26-year-old Boston man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly holding a pregnant woman against her will in a Tewksbury motel and then beating her when she tried to escape. Mark Silvia, of 39 Boylston St, was arrested after police responded to a 911 call from a guest at the Motel Caswell, reporting a possible domestic assault in the adjacent room. The first officers at the scene found Silvia and a woman in Room 238. According to Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, they interviewed the two separately and learned that the woman had been assaulted and was injured.
