Domestic Assault Arrests Top Latest Tewksbury Police Log

Tewksbury Police responded to multiple reports of assaults and domestic assaults this week. Gerard A Cardarelli, 41, 5109 Archstone Ave., Tewksbury, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 28, and charged with domestic assault and battery. Cardarelli was arraigned in Lowell District Court and held on $1,000 cash bail, according to an article appearing in the Lowell Sun. According to prosecutors, the complaint was filed by a 12-year-old girl who lives with Cardaelli and his girlfriend. The girl told police that Cardarelli and his girlfriend both hit her with coathangers and that Cardarelli slammed her head against a wall, according to the Sun article. Repeat Drunk Driver Allegedly Commits Third Offense

A 911 call Monday afternoon (Aug. 8) regarding an erratic driver on Main Street resulted in the arrest of a repeat drunk driver. Clifton R. Wacome, 49, 38 Hurley Ave., Dracut, was pulled over and arrested near 792 Main St. He is charged with OUI-liquor (third offense). Domestic disturbance leads to warrant arrest (Aug. 10) Police received a 911 call from Motel 6 just after 2 a.m. Wednesday. An investigation found it to be a verbal dispute, but a man involved in the incident, Michael Moriarty, 48, 95 Main St., Room 125, Tewksbury, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Arrests: Stephen Swasey, 23 and Alexis Velasquez, 28, both listed as homeless, were both arrested on Aug. 9 at Motel Caswell. Each had two outstanding warrants. Incidents: A…
