Community Preservation Committee Takes a Step Toward Town Hall Rehabilitation

Specs for proposed building, finances, and future Town Hall facilities are also discussed.

Since initial construction of the Tewksbury Town Hall in 1920, there have been no meaningful renovations to the building. The current Community Preservation Committee plans to change that, with the help of voters. The Community Preservation Committee outlined the details for a Town Hall rehabilitation during its meeting on Wednesday night. The goals of the renovation are to bring the Town Hall up to current building codes, conform to the Americans with Disabilities Act, and address issues of usable space and structural concerns posed by the current building.
