To The Editor: Why has the polling place for Precincts 3 and 3A been moved way across town, practically on the Lowell line? Couldn't they have found something closer? It is difficult for some people to go that distance to vote. We used to vote at the North Street School, then the Town Hall, then the Senior Center. Those were all pretty close. Now they expect us to go across town to vote. I am going to have to get an absentee ballot for this years' elections. I don't understand why the schools cannot be used for voting as they used to do years ago. Give the students the day off, if necessary. Barbara Antinoro Tewksbury
Hundreds of addresses have changed wards as a result of recent redistricting.
Recently, Tewksbury Patch published the list of four polling locations to be used when voters go to the polls for the Municipal Election on April 14. Do you know, based on where you live, where you are supposed to vote? Are you sure? As a result of the recent redistricting, nearly 600 addresses have changed precincts and nearly 300 have changed wards. Changing wards will, in many cases, change the location where voters cast their ballots. Attached is a list of the 567 addresses that have changed precincts under the redistricting. Included in that list are the 293 addresses that have changed wards.
