Filmmaker: Academic Pressure On Students Has Reached Dangerous Levels
Provocative film, 'Race To Nowhere' to be screened at the Wynn School.
Have increased academic standards and homework requirements implemented through programs like "Race To The Top" and "No Child Left Behind" raised the pressure level for students, teachers and parents to dangerous levels? That's the question examined in a powerful documentary film entitled, "Race to Nowhere." A screening of the film is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m. in the Wynn School Auditorium. Diane, the error was on my part here. I neglected to add that the event is being used as a fundraiser by the Dewing School PAC. the money is used to help pay for the various programs that the PAC sponsors during the school year.   more ›
