Tewksbury Police have released details from the Payless Shoes robbery on Tuesday morning and are asking for help in solving the crime. The robber entered the store at 10 Main St. in Stadium Plaza at 10:10 a.m., according to a Tewksbury Police press release. He went to the lone clerk in the store, also the only person in the store at the time, and demanded money. No weapon was shown nor mentioned by the robber. He ordered the suspect to walk to the back room where he followed her. The clerk, who was unharmed, called 911 as the robber exited the store at 10:13 a.m. She described the suspect as a man in his mid-to-late 30s, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-7 with a stocky build, light skinned black or Hispanic with no accent. Robbery took place early Tuesday morning.
Tewksbury Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed the Payless Shoe Source at Stadium Plaza Tuesday morning. The suspect is described as being a black male in his mid-30s and around 5-4, according to Tewksbury Police. The suspect was described as wearing a black hat and dark sunglasses and dark jeans. The incident took place just after 10 a.m. The suspect, who was not armed, managed to escape on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, according to police. Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call Tewksbury Police at 978-851-7373.

Tewksbury Firefighters were on the scene to save a heart attack victim Wednesday night. According to Fire Department reports, dispatch received a call at 6:20 p.m. from a commercial building at 836 North St. regarding a man having a seizure. Firefighters from the North Station were able to respond within one minute and when they arrived on scene, they found that the man was in full cardiac arrest. Firefighters used a defibrillator on the man and by the time he was loaded into the ambulance, his breathing and heartbeat had been restored. The man was transported to Lowell General Saints Campus for further treatment. Friends rally to help his family during tough times.
When Wayne Fleury passed away suddenly on Dec. 7, 2012 he left family and friends behind in shock and sadness. Fleury had been diagnosed with colon cancer less than three weeks before his death and, frankly, nobody expected him to lose his battle so quickly. As his wife Laura Fleury explained, “Never in our wildest dreams did we think that Wayne wasn’t going to make it through this.” Wayne Fleury truly loved life and it was hard for anyone to imagine that his had ended at only forty eight years of age. “He was so optimistic and positive after his diagnoses,” Laura said. “He didn’t want to look at the downside. On Tuesday, Jan. 22, at around 11:23 a.m.,, a man walked into Police Headquarters and reported that T.J. Callahan's Pub had been the victim of a robbery. According to the man, someone had broken some locks at the pub and had stolen ... old grease. Officer Arthur Piccolo talked to the man and a report on the theft was filed. The Tewksbury Police Department found themselves in a rare position this week. Over the past few days, the TPD engaged in a pair of manhunts but in both cases, the suspects managed to slip away. The first incident took place Saturday night at 11:21 p.m., when a cabbie reported that he had dropped off a man on Vale Street. The cabbie told police that the man not only refused to pay his fare but he also threated the cabbie with a knife. The cabie also alleged that the man said he had a .45 revolver in his home and planned to use it.The cabbie said man then hopped into a vehicle and also chased him away from the scene. State and local police searching for suspect who escaped with $1,300
UPDATED: 1:30 p.m. State and local police are continuing to search for a man who robbed the RTN Federal Credit Union Friday morning and made off on foot with $1,300. According to Police Scanner chatter, the suspect is described as being 5-9, wearing a Patriots cap, green sweatshirt, jeans and sun glasses. No weapon was shown but he handed the teller a note. Police declined to reveal the contents of the note at this time. RTN Credit Union is located 345 Main St., near Walmart and the new Harrow's Chicken. Police had offered reward for information on Aug. 18 robbery.
Wilmington Police and Crime Stoppers were teaming up to offer a reward in the case of a recent robbery at CVS on Main Street. As it turns out, that reward was not needed. According to Wilmington Police Department Lt. Chris Neville, Kirk Crupi of Tewksbury turned himself in Saturday night after seeing media reports over the weekend about the reward and robbery, which took place on Thursday, Aug. 18. On Tuesday, Crupi was arraigned at Woburn District Court for unarmed robbery. According to the court clerk, the case was continued until November 14 for a probable cause hearing. Tewksbury Market robbed Friday night.
Tewksbury Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a Tewksbury convenience store Friday night. According to Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, the robbery took place around 10 p.m., when a white male entered the Tewksbury Convenient Food Market at 158 Shawsheen St. The suspect approached the store clerk, the lone employee on duty, and demanded the money from the cash register. The clerk told police that the suspect motioned to his pocket suggesting that he was armed with a gun. The clerk said that he emptied the cash drawer and gave money to the suspect, who then left the store.
