Rosella Mary (Keough) Dean, age 90, died peacefully Saturday, February 23, with her daughters at her bedside at Lowell General’s Saints Campus. She was the devoted wife of the late Edward Norman Dean for 43 years, before his death in 1988. She was one of four children of the late John and Ella (McHatton) Keough, born in Chelsea on June 6, 1922. She was raised in Chelsea, and was a proud graduate of Chelsea High School. In her youth, she had summered with her family in Tewksbury, and moved permanently to town in 1938. Mrs. Dean was a devout Catholic who became a sister of the Third Order of St. Francis Assisi in 1958.
