How Much Snow is Tewksbury Getting This Weekend?

Weather forecasters are predicting at least 10 inches of snow with a over a foot of snow possible.

Will Tewksbury get pummeled this weekend with more than a foot of snow or will it be a half-foot with rain mixed in? The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch from Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. The NWS said 10 inches of snow or more is possible and warned of heavy wet snow that may fall at 1 to 2 inches per hour. Snow may mix with rain in the Tewksbury area. The NWS warned that the heavy wet snow could bring down tree limbs and result in scattered power outages. The various Boston news outlets are all estimating the Merrimack Valley to be in the area getting some of the heaviest snowfall, at anywhere from 6-14 inches. Winter Storm Bearing Down On Tewksbury

Snowfall to be followed by arctic cold front.

Tewksbury residents are gearing up for the latest blast from old man winter. A 1-2 punch is expect to roll across the region in the next couple of days, with a moderate snowfall to be followed by a blast of frosty temperatures. According to the National Weather Service, a storm front will dump 2-4 inches of snow across the area tonight. Temperatures will drop into the mid-teens with light, variable winds. The snow will continue into Tuesday morning, ending around noon. As the snow leaves, the cold front will move in. Temperatures Tuesday night are expected to drop to 3 degrees with a wind chill of -7. Winds will be from 8-10 mph. On Wednesday, things won't get much warmer, with a high of 15 degrees with winds up to 15 mph. You'll need to …
