Nevermind the underwater diving dogs. Yeah, that's pretty awesome. But there are few things cuter than a snowdog in action. There are also few things cuter than a dog who doesn't like the snow that is attempting to do his or her "business" quickly and get back inside. Your pet is "wild" again, at one with nature, surviving the pile-up by leaping joyfully through it all. We want your video clips of dogs in the snow. Chances are, we won't find many felines who are enjoying the storm, but if so, we welcome those, too. Heck, if you've got a potbellied pig or a horse who is out in the snow, bring it on. Upload them here, or send to charlene.arsenault@patch.com. If we receive a nice collection, we'll create a video and set the pooches to music…

Tewksbury could get anywhere from three to eight inches of snow, according to Thursday-morning forecasts.
Snowfall predictions for the current snow storm hitting the Merrimack Valley have varied over the past 24 hours. At first forecasters said the area could receive four to eight inches of snow. Later on Wednesday, those predictions were downgraded to a few inches of wet snow. Thursday morning, the picture has changed again, with expected snow totals rising again—something anyone looking out the window could confirm. The National Weather Service has now issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Merrimack Valley with snowfall predictions at 4-8 inches. Winds will continue from the north at 15-25 MPH and gusts up to 55 MPH. Temperatures are expected to stay fairly steady. Mid 30's through the afternoon and low 30's this evening. The Winter Storm …

A long-duration storm is knocking on the door, but most local meteorologists expect snowfall in the Merrimack Valley to be limited.
The Merrimack Valley in for some wet weather Wednesday through Friday, according to local forecasts, but don't get out your snow shovels yet. For Boston, the local weather teams aren't predicting very much snow. Instead, expect a lot of rain and maybe some heavy slushy snow in spots. The Merrimack Valley, on the other hand, appears to be due for 3-5 inches of heavy wet snow. Flooding may become an issue in some areas, especially if it turns to rain. Here are the latest forecasts from the local television news weather teams. All totals were updated Wednesday morning. WHDH (7 News): 3-5 inches WLVI (NewsCenter 5): 1-2 inches along the coast, six inches or more inland WBZ (CBS Local): 2-4 inches WFXT (MyFox Boston): 3-5 inches NECN: 3-5 …

Do you agree with the governor's decision or was it too drastic?
All non-emergency drivers were ordered off the roads on Friday when Gov. Deval Patrick issued an executive order banning travel during the blizzard. (Editor's note: The ban is lifted statewide as of 4 p.m. Saturday.) Patrick's executive order is being praised by some and bashed by others, reported The Boston Globe. While former Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis, who was in charge of the commonwealth during the Blizzard of ’78, praised the governor’s move, others called the order “tyrannical” and say the strict ban and hefty fines were too much, according to The Globe. Those caught violating the ban would face up to a year in jail and a $500 fine. What do you think? Do you agree with the governor’s decision or do you think the travel ban …

Let's measure the blizzard through lawn ornaments!
We at Patch like to have fun – even when we’re covering a story as big as the Blizzard of ’13! So when the biggest storm in years (potentially in the history of Boston weather) is headed our way, we get into battle mode – and even get a little silly. That’s what this idea is about – and we want you to take part too! A fun way we want to track the storm across Massachusetts is through lawn ornaments. They serve a purpose in the spring and summer, but often feel left out in the cold of winter. Not anymore. We are posting photos of lawn ornaments throughout Massachusetts to highlight snowfall across the commonwealth during and after the storm. All you need to do is hit the Upload Photos and Videos button and upload your own. If we’re stuck at…

Forecasts vary, with snowfall expected to be anywhere from 24-38 inches. The snow is expected to start Friday morning and pick up intensity through the afternoon and into the evening.
