One Man's Grease Is A Thief's ... Gold?

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

There have been some odd things stolen in Tewksbury in recent years but this might top the list. On Tuesday, Jan. 22, at around 11:23 a.m.,, a man walked into Police Headquarters and reported that T.J. Callahan's Pub had been the victim of a robbery. According to the man, someone had broken some locks at the pub and had stolen ... old grease. Officer Arthur Piccolo talked to the man and a report on the theft was filed. Arrests: James Robert Tambone, 21, 31 Debra Drive, Tewksbury, was arrested on Jan. 22 and charged with domestic assault and battery. Brian Bohanan, 48, 434 Main St., Unit 232, Tewksbury, was arrested on Jan. 22 on a warrant. Additional incidents: On Jan. 23, at 12:"30 p.m., a 911 call reported a robbery at knifepoint at the …

Family Robbed During Father's Wake, TJ Callahan's To Help Out

A Tewksbury family, already reeling from the untimely death of their husband and father, received another jolt when they returned home after his wake Tuesday night. Their home had been burglarized. Tewksbury Police are investigating the break-in at 117 Elm St., a home Wayne Fleury had shared with his wife Laura and their children. Wayne, 48, died on Dec. 7, just three weeks after being diagnosed with colon cancer. The wake, attended by hundreds of mourners, took place Tuesday evening at the Tewksbury Funeral Home on Main Street. Laura Fleury returned home to find her home ransacked and many items of value, both monetary and sentimental, gone. Items taken included a wallet, a safe, an iPad, an iPod, a camera, an Xbox game system, a Wii game…

Adults Acting Like Children, Bank Card Theft Top Police Log

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A woman walked into Tewksbury Police Headquarters on Saturday, June 9, at 11:51 a.m. and reported that her Direct Express Card had been stolen and had just been used at Citizens' Bank, 295 Main St. Officers checked the security footage at the bank, which showed a suspect using the woman's card to withdraw $340 from her account. A report was filed and the case is under investigation. In football, the penalty for taunting is 15 yards (June 8) Tewksbury Police received 911 calls from both a man and a woman at around 10:38 p.m. They were each calling from T.J. Callahan's Pub. Head To Jon Ryan's on St. Patrick's Day

Jon Ryan's Pub voted best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

Where will Tewksbury be celebrating St. Patrick's Day tomorrow? Well if our poll results are any indication, they will be painting the town green at Jon Ryan's Pub. Jon Ryan's won the title with 78 votes - 50% of total votes. TJ Callahans came in second with 28 votes. Thank you to everyone who participated and congratulations to all the businesses. UPDATED: New Sons Of Italy Chapter Started In Tewksbury

After a hiatus of 25 years, a piece of Italian heritage is back in Tewksbury

When _Joe Mazzola opened Cafe Sicilia_, he said he hoped to bring a little slice of Italian culture to Tewksbury. In the year since, the cafe has inspired others to rediscover and embrace their Italian heritage. The result is the return of the Sons of Italy to Tewksbury. Tony Boschetti and George Iannuzzo have joined with Mazzola as founding members of Tewksbury Lodge #2872 of the Order of the Sons of Italy of America. Video Battle of the Bands

A Night of Music, Food and Fun

"Breakthrough" celebrates Tewksbury Patch Video Battle of the Bands victory with concert at TJ Callahan's.

"Breakthrough," a Tewksbury band made up of teens Dan Daley, Ben Hanson and Bobby Briggs, rocked a jam-packed TJ Callahan's Thursday night. It was a victory concert for the band, which won Tewksbury Patch's first Video Battle of the Bands. In addition to the gig, the band received Rock Star Makeovers from All About You Hair Salon, a $400 gift certificate from Tewksbury Music Center and three hours of recording studio time from The Space in Lowell. The concert and the contest were sponsored by Tewksbury Patch. Editor Bill Gilman and Ad Manager Anne Wakeman were on hand to capture these images and video clips.

'Breakthrough' Gets New Look For Tonight's Big Concert

Tewksbury Patch Video Battle of the Bands winners are ready to rock!

The battle is over and the results are in.  Breakthrough is the official winner of Patch’s first ever battle of then bands.  Of course, you can’t truly be a rock star without looking the part and that’s where being a Patch winner really comes in handy.  As part of their Patch Prize Package, Breathrough spent yesterday afternoon with the talented crew at “It’s all About You -- Hair Salon” getting their official rock star makeovers.  Made up of three 15-year-old boys, Ben Hanson, Bobby Briggs and Daniel Daley, Breathrough is a local favorite with a long history.  As singer, songwriter and guitarist Bobby explains, “Ben was born on Nov. 14, 1995 and I was born a day later at the same hospital.  We started planning then.”  While Bobby’s mom …
