Police Investigate String of Paintball Incidents

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

On Saturday, May 18, at 9:11 p.m. a Helvetia Street caller reported that someone was shooting paintballs at her home and cars passing by in the area. A Patten Road caller reported that someone broke two windows on his house by shooting paintballs at the home on Saturday, May 18, at 9:52 p.m. These were the latest cases of homes tagged with paintballs, as several calls came in over previous days. Youths Arrested for Allegedly Defacing Property Police located a suspicious group of youths on Pleasant Street on Saturday, May 18, at 10:05 p.m. Michael H. McAteer, 17, of 2 Ryan’s Way, Tewksbury, was arrested and charged with malicious or wanton defacement of property. Two 16-year-old juveniles were also arrested on the same charges. Additional …

Yeah, my house on Foster Road was also the target of paint balls. Didn't bother to report it. Kids trying to have fun at someone else's expense. They don't have any regards for someone else's property. Love to catch them in the act and get the license plate number.   more ›

Tewksbury Police Department Put On a Mock Crash at TMHS

Members of the Tewksbury Police Department will present a mock accident to Tewksbury Memorial High School juniors and seniors on Tuesday.

  The following information was provided by the Tewksbury Police Department: The Tewksbury Police Department will be presenting a “Mock Crash” at Tewksbury Memorial High School on Tuesday, May 21 at 9 a.m., targeting the junior and senior student population.   This presentation is as part of the Tewksbury Police Department’s ongoing commitment to educating our young drivers about the perils of impaired driving. The reenactment will take place in the Tewksbury Memorial High School parking lot and will serve as a realistic reminder about the ominous consequences that can result from drinking and driving. Main Street Plaza Allegedly Broken Into

ADT called in a burglar alarm at Forest Terrace Condo Association on Main Street on Friday, May 17, at 12:08 a.m. An audible alarm was sounding upon police arrival. A second call from a neighbor in the plaza said they believed there was fresh damage to one of the doorways. Damage was also visible at Vindice Counseling, and police investiagated what they believe was a break-in. Man Allegedly Nabbed for Writing False Checks Police went to speak with a man on North Street on Friday, May 17, at 5:15 p.m. Howard H. Police Mediate Argument Over Tree Removal

On Wednesday, May 15, at 6:17 a.m. a resident on Sandpiper Lane reported a tree company cutting down trees in the area. Officers spoke to the workers who said they will be stopping until 7 a.m. A caller from River Road reported on Wednesday, May 15, at 7:09 a.m. that someone from the previous incident was now calling her, making threats and throwing items at her house. A separate call from the other party on Sandpiper Lane reported that she is getting calls from a neighbor not to go on her property. Tewksbury Police Department Kicks Off 2013 Helmet Rewards Program

If you're 16 years old or younger, you could receive a number of prizes from the Tewksbury Police Department just for wearing your bike helmet!

  The following information was provided by the Tewksbury Police Department: The Tewksbury Police Department is on the lookout. They are looking to reward young people “caught” wearing their bike helmets with gift certificates. These certificates can be redeemed at the local McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Papa Gino’s, Orange Leaf, Friendly’s, The Pushcart, or a Spinner’s game.   We are really excited to reintroduce this program again this year to raise awareness and hopefully increase helmet use in Town.  Massachusetts law requires children 16 years of age or younger who operate a bicycle, or who ride as a passenger on a bicycle, on a public way or bike path to wear a properly fitted and fastened helmet. Wilmington Woman Arrested After Alleged Tewksbury Assault

Mary C. Hobal was arrested early Tuesday morning for allegedly attacking another woman and her boyfriend.

Wilmington and Tewksbury Police combined to search for and arrest a woman after an alleged attack early Tuesday morning. According to the Tewksbury police log, 911 dispatch received a call from a resident on Oak Street at 12:54 a.m. on Tuesday. The caller told police that another woman entered her home, attacked her and subsequently attacked her boyfriend. Following the alleged attack, the resident said the woman left in a red Jeep and began traveling towards Wilmington, where the caller said she lives. Tewksbury officers were unable to locate the party in question in the area, and called Wilmington Police to check their town. Initially, Wilmington officers went to the woman’s known address, but were unable to locate her. But at 1:56 a.m…

Pair Arrested After Allegedly Stealing Formula and Fleeing

A Wal-Mart employee reported that a woman was stealing baby formula on Sunday, May 12, at 7:49 p.m. The caller attempted to stop the woman, but she fled the parking lot in her vehicle. Police stopped the car and arrested Julia Wolchko, 20, of 75 Indian Ridge Road, East Hampstead, N.H., for shoplifting greater than $100 by concealing and larceny greater than $250. Charlotte Morgan, 20, of 9 Cortland Road, East Hampstead, N.H., was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and larceny greater than $250. Police Make Three Warrant Arrests at Motel 6

Police arrived at Motel 6, Room 251, on Friday, May 10, at 4:37 a.m. to serve a male party and two females on outstanding warrants. Apryl C. Georgeopoulos, 48, of 25 Pershing Street, Lowell, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. Dwain A. Sykes, 38, of 271 Gallivan Blvd., Dorchester, was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, and distributing Class B drugs. Jennifer Cossette, 43, of 4 Magnolia Street, Billerica, was charged with larceny of a credit card. Police Chase a Stolen Car, Follow Up On Alleged Threat

Officers were on Lee Street on Thursday, May 9, at 12:59 p.m. looking to speak with a resident because another person heard second hand that the man allegedly saying he was going to “blow up” Maverick’s after he got kicked out of the bar. No one was home for police to speak to at the time. Stolen Car Speeds Away Police attempted to stop an allegedly stolen motor vehicle on North Street on Tuesday, May 7, at 1:12 a.m. The vehicle fled towards Lowell at a high speed and cars lost sight of it.
