Hundreds of young girls and their fathers packed the Tewksbury Country Club last weekened to take part on a beloved Tewksbury tradition -- the annual Father-Daughter Valentine Dance. Editor Bill Gilman was on hand and put together this video presentation of a night to remember.

Valentine's Dance features nearly 30 couples married at least 50 years.
They true love is like a fine wine -- it grows better with age. But that expression really doesn't do justice to a love that joins together two individuals as one flesh over the course of a lifetime. In truth, true love is also like shoe leather, growing tougher and stronger over the years. And it's a lot like clay -- molded into shape with care but not reaching its true potential until be tested by the fires of life. A Valentine's Dance at the Senior Center on Feb. 12 attracted scores of local couples, including nearly 30 who had been together for more than 50 years. Seven of those couples were honored during the dance, receiving gifts and citations from the State Legislature, presented by state Rep. Jim Miceli.

I agree with the commments about the Tewksbury Country Club. The food may be great but the service is absolutely horrible. I honestly don't know how they stay in business with Service like that. more ›
