Mother and Daughter Sentenced In Death of Tewksbury Family's Kin

Teen who was driving the car that killed Margaret Catyb avoids jail time in plea deal.

The Florida mother and daughter held responsible for the death of a Billerica woman last spring have both agreed to plea deals in the case. Margaret Catyb, 77, was killed on May 31, while visiting Florida to attend the high school graduation of one of her 10 grandchildren. The Nissan Altima she was a passenger in was struck by a Dodge Durango driven by a 15-year-old with a learner's permit and no adult with her. The Durango had run a stop sign. Margaret Catyb's son, Thomas Catyb, lives in Tewksbury with his family. The teen, Brianna Henderson, pled no contest to failure to obtain a Florida driver's license, violation of learner's permit requirements and failure to yield right of way at a stop sign, according to an article published by the …

Tewksbury Man Arraigned On Charge Of Vehicular Homicide

67-year-old woman was killed in a head-on crash in Ayer in 2011.

A 22-year-old Tewksbury man pled not guilty to a charge of vehicular homicide in connection with an early morning crash that killed a 67-year-old Ayer woman in Ayer last year. Xavier Roman appeared in Ayer District Court last week, after being indicted by a grand jury in connection with the death of Claire Boudreau on Nov. 15, according to a report published in the Lowell Sun. Ayer Police say Roman, who was driving a box truck, told them he fell asleep at the wheel and crossed over into the wrong lane. He woke up and tried to swerve back but struck a Prius driven by Boudreau Bail was set at $1,000 on the vehicular homicide charge. Man Arrested On OUI Charge Previously Indicted On Vehicular Homicide Charge

Anthony J. Manfredi, who was indicted on Aug. 14, 2011 of the fatal pedestrian collision that resulted in the death of Burlington resident Daniel Jalbert was arrested for DUI while out on bail.

A Burlington man arrested last week in Tewksbury for allegedly driving a moped while under the influence of alcohol was previously indicted on charges in connection with the Aug. 14, 2011 fatal pedestrian collision that resulted in the death of Burlington resident Daniel Jalbert. Just after 5:31 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 2, an employee of the Pushcart restaurant in Tewksbury called police to report a patron had just left there and appeared to be drunk. The employee said the man drove away on a blue moped. Two Tewksbury Police units responded to the scene and pulled over the moped, driven by Anthony J. Manfredi, 49, listed in the police logs as now living at 213 Elizabeth Drive, Dracut. Patch was told by family that Manfredi does not live at …
