Tewksbury Police Win Two More Battles In War on Drugs
Two alleged dealers face charges; Oxycodone, crack, heroin seized.
The Tewksbury Police Department continued to wage a determined war on local drug trafficking with two more arrests on Wednesday. Benjamin Torres-Ramos, 30, of 247 Salem St, 3rd Floor, Lawrence, was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute a class B substance (crack and cocaine) subsequent offense, and possession with the intent to distribute a class A substance (heroin). The arrest came after Tewksbury Police Detectives stopped Torres-Ramos' vehicle around 3 p.m. for a motor vehicle violation on South Street. After speaking to Torres-Ramos, detectives suspected Torres-Ramos was involved in drug activity and called in Police K-9 Geox to search his vehicle.
