Two teens suffered injuries, one serious enough to require hospitalization, after an incident at the former Funland recreation center over the weekend. According to a Tewksbury Police report, a call came in just before 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, reporting yelling and screaming coming from the area of the batting cages of the Funland property on Route 38. Funland has been closed for several years. Officers responded to the scene and then called for medical assistance after finding three people at the scene, including two young people lying on the ground, bleeding. A Tewksbury man faces felony assault charges after allegedly injuring a family member during a domestic dispute Sunday afternoon (April 29). Tewksbury Police received a call just after 4:30 p.m. Sunday from a woman who said that a family member had shoved her out of the way and pushed his way into their home. She told police she wanted the man removed. A short time later, she called back and said the man had left and described the car he was driving. Officers responded to the scene and discovered the woman had suffered minor injuries. Another officer located and pulled over the car and, after a brief struggle, placed the driver under arrest. A local teen faces felony assault charges after allegedly attacking an elderly family member. Michael Romano, 81 Judique Road, is charged with assault and battery on a person 60-over or disabled. Police were called to 81 Judique Road on Sunday morning after receiving a call about the alleged attack. The original 911 call had been placed to the State Police and was transferred to Tewksbury Dispatch. Romano was scheduled to be arrainged Tuesday morning in Lowell District Court. Tewksbury man arrested in connection with Quincy burglary.
A Billerica man is facing allegations that he assaulted his elderly father. Police responded to a call from a resident who said he had just been assaulted by his adult son. The alleged victim told officers that the man had just left in a gray Nissan SUV. Tewksbury officers called Billerica Police and informed them of the situation.
