Northgate Road and Germano Road residents targeted by alleged thieves.
Two teens are facing multiple charges after being arrested this week in connection with a series of building and vehicle break-ins. According to Tewskbury Police, the incident began Friday night, March 16. Police received a call at around 10:45 p.m. from a resident on Northgate Road, who said a vehicle had been broken into. As officers were responding to that call, a resident on Germano Drive called police to report two people were trying to breaking into a shed on their property. The suspects were described as males, wearing dark-hooded sweatshirts. The caller said that the suspects had run off into the woods. Tewksbury Police received two calls this week from Tewksbury residents reporting their pets had been attacked by neighborhood dogs. The first call came from Marie Street resident on Wednesday, Oct. 5, just after noon. The caller reported that a dog had been attacked by a pit bull. The caller said that the pit bull and its owner were still standing out in front of their house. Lou Ann Clement of the Health Department was notified. Both she and a police officer responded to the scene. The condition of the dog that was allegedly attacked was not immediately known. Tewksbury man arrested in connection with Quincy burglary.
A Billerica man is facing allegations that he assaulted his elderly father. Police responded to a call from a resident who said he had just been assaulted by his adult son. The alleged victim told officers that the man had just left in a gray Nissan SUV. Tewksbury officers called Billerica Police and informed them of the situation. Disabled motor vehicle leads to warrant arrest.
In the latest example of a disturbing (and growing) trend of children attacking their parents, an 11-year-old Tewksbury girl was arrested after allegedly attacking her mother and cousin. The suspect, whose name and address are not being published because she is a juvenile, is being charged with assault and battery. The incident began Sunday, just after 10:30 p.m.when a woman called 911, reporting that her daughter had said she had been chatting online with another juvenile female who claimed to have been drinking all night.
