Softball The Tewksbury High softball team improved to 6-1, thrashing North Andover, 12-0 on Friday in a mercy-rul shortened game. Sophomore sireballer Shannon McLaughlin continued her dominant work in the circle, tossing her fourth straight shutout and running her consective scoreless innings streak to 24. McLaughlin struck out six and allowed just one hit. The Redmen offense struggled a bit early and they led just 3-0 after four innings before erupting for nine runs in the fifth to end the game. Sammy LaFerriere had three hits, including a pair of doubles, to lead the Tewksbury offense. Brooke Hardy had a pair of hits, including a three-run homer in the fifth.
