Mahoney's Kicks Off Annual Trees For Troops Program

A great way to show appreciate for the sacrifices made by the men and women of the military and their families.

Starting this Veteran’s Day, November 11, show your support and appreciation to an active member and their family, by donating a Christmas tree through the “Trees for Troops” program. Mahoney’s Garden Centers is again the host of the Trees for Troops program in Massachusetts. To participate in the program, visit any of Mahoney’s eight locations in eastern Massachusetts beginning November 11, and purchase a Trees for Troops tree for $24.50. Mahoney's Orchid Festival Has Started

The festival will have orchid and tropical plants for sale.

As Christmas approaches and the season speeds by one thing becomes more and more apparent. It is, without a doubt, time to head out and pick out this year’s Christmas tree. Before you leave the house, however you need to do a quick once over and decide where you plan to put the tree. In order to keep your Christmas tree fresh and safe always look for a spot that isn’t near a heat outlet, fireplace or even a sunny window. Next make certain that it will be well protected from young children and pets. Once you decide where the tree is going it is time to figure out what shape and size will be the best fit.
