It's the worst nightmare for a parent or a grandparent. You turn away for just a moment and when you turn back around a child is gone. Such was the case on Thursday, Sept. 27 at the McDonald's Restaurant at 1928 Main St. Two young boys had been having lunch with an older relative and were heading to their car when the oldest boy, aged 4, disappeared. The older man whose care the boys were in looked around frantically and then had the restaurant manager call the police. According to Tewksbury Police records, the call came in at 12:24 p.m. Six officers were sent to the scene, including the K9 team. Searchers Reunite Missing Child With Her Parents A North Reading family is breathing a sigh of relief this morning after missing daughter was located safe and sound. The child, an 8-year-old with Down Syndrome, had been reported missing Saturday morning. North Reading Police requested the help of area law enforcement agencies for help with the search, which began in the area of Spruce Road. Chelmsford Man Caught Selling Oxycontin on Craigslist Stephen J. 14-year-old boy has not been heard from since calling his father after school yesterday.
Tewksbury Police have issued a CodeRed Alert, as they search for a missing 14-year-old boy. Anthony McNeil, an 8th grader at the Wynn School, has not been heard from since around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 7. According to Tewksbury Police, Anthony's father dropped him off at the Wynn School in the morning. After school, Anthony called his father, Dennis McNeil, at work from his home phone and told him he planned to walk over to the Livingston Street ball fields to watch the games and that he could be picked up around 5:30 p.m. Police say Anthony's father made several trips to the Livingston Street Fields between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. but Anthony was not there. Girl reported missing from a foster home in Lowell.
A Tewksbury mother is reaching out to the public for help in locating her missing teen daughter. Macenzie Ruiz, 17, who had been living in a foster home in Lowell, was last seen on Feb. 24, according to her mother, Heidi Miele of Tewksbury. Macenzie is described as being 5 foot, 2 inches tall, 120 pounds, fair skin, freckles, blue eyes and reddish hair. She wears black, framed glasses. Miele said she is especially concerned because Macenzie needs to be taking medication on a daily basis and does not have her medication with her. Anyone with information regarding Macenzie or her location, is encouraged to call the Lowell Police Department at 978-937-3200 or the Tewksbury Police Department at 978-640-4381.
