The owners of a young dog are asking for the public's help in bringing her home safely. "Katie" is 19 months old. She is half Labrador Retriever and half Rhodesian Ridgeback. Katie was reported missing on Nov. 30 from Gray Street in Billerica, which is located very near the Tewksbury border in the area of Patton Road, Whipple Road and Chandler Street. Anyone who has seen Katie or knows where she might be is asked to call 978-663-3415.

Water main work being done on East Street was delayed on Monday when a Tewksbury Police Officer working the traffic detail on the project reported a gas leak just after 10 a.m. Emergency response units were quickly at the scene and National Grid was notified. Once National Grid crews arrived they too control of the situation, identified and repaired the leak. It was not immediately known what caused the leak. Dogs both lost and found At 1:11 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, a woman walked into Police Headquarters to report a missing dog. And, did you check with the Lowell MSPCA and the Salem, NH? My dog once walked home by herself, a 50-mile trek, from a place she had never been before that one time. It's possible. P.S.: Another thing that's possible is that around that time of year, cats and or dogs could get locked in sheds for the season.
