Schools In Brief Lockdown During Police Manhunt

Suspect sought in attempted murder at Motel 6.

Police in two communities are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted murder at the Motel 6 in Tewksbury on Monday. The incident took place just after noon and resulted in five Lowell schools going into a "soft lockdown" while police searched the area for the suspect, who'd fled the motel on foot, according to an article appearing on www.lowellsun.com. Tewksbury Police are attempting to idetify the suspect, who has been described as being a man in his late 30s. He allegedly attempted to kill a woman by strangling her. Second Suspect Arrested In Kidnapping, Carjacking

Victim was kidnapped at Motel 6 on Dec. 26.

Tewksbury Police have apprehended a second suspect in connection with a carjacking/kidnapping that took place on the day after Christmas. Tayla Spencer, 18, of 16 Fowler St, Dorchester, is charged with Kidnapping, Armed Assault with Intent to Murder, Armed Robbery, Carjacking and Conspiracy. According to Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, Spencer was arrested on Jan. 21 in Boston after the Tewksbury Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for her. The arrest was made with the assistance from the Boston Police Department. The arrest is in connection with an incident that took place on Dec. 26. There have been some odd things stolen in Tewksbury in recent years but this might top the list. On Tuesday, Jan. 22, at around 11:23 a.m.,, a man walked into Police Headquarters and reported that T.J. Callahan's Pub had been the victim of a robbery. According to the man, someone had broken some locks at the pub and had stolen ... old grease. Officer Arthur Piccolo talked to the man and a report on the theft was filed. Arrests: James Robert Tambone, 21, 31 Debra Drive, Tewksbury, was arrested on Jan. 22 and charged with domestic assault and battery. A man and woman thought they were out of sight of the prying eyes of law enforcement when they chose the parking lot of the Keri Plaza to park in with drugs in their possession on Friday, Jan. 4 at 5 p.m.. They were mistaken. A keen-eyed, off-duty police officer saw the pair acting suspiciously in a vehicle and reported it to dispatch. Man Charged In Connection With Motel 6 Carjacking, Kidnapping

Victim escaped in Lowell, suspect arrested in Roxbury.

A 23-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly carjacking a man at knifepoint in the parking lot of Motel 6. Jeffrey Venter of Boston, no know address, was arrested in Roxbury on Jan. 1 with the help of the Boston Police Department. Tewksbury Police had obtained an arrest warrant on Ventner, charging him with Kidnapping, Armed Assault with Intent to Murder, Carjacking, Armed Robbery, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault and Battery. According to Tewksbury Police, the incident began on Dec. 26, when officers responded to the Motel 6, 95 Main St., after receiving a report about a man being kidnapped and forced into a vehicle by another man. Man Tells Police He Was Kidnapped, Held At Motel 6

A motel room a the Motel 6 on Route 38 was being investigated as a possible crime scene after a man claimed he had been kidnapped and held there. On Wednesday, around 9:30 a.m., Lowell Police called their Tewksbury counterparts to report they had a man who claimed he had been kidnapped from Dorchester, held for a time in a room at the Motel 6 and later carjacked in Lowell. Tewksbury Police_ took the claim seriously, bringing in a CSI unit to scour the motel room. The victim was brought back to Tewksbury Police Headquarters and a report was filed. UPDATED: Prostitution Arrests At Two Tewksbury Motels

Four women arrested in coordinated effort.

Four women were scheduled to be arraigned in Lowell District Court today (Nov. 9) on prostitution charges, after being arrested by Tewksbury Police at two local motels on Thursday. The women, three of whom list their home addresses as out of state, were arrested as part of a coordinated operation by the Tewskbury Police Department. Three were arrested at the Motel 6 and one more at the Motel Caswell. Daiane Gabriel, 25, of 31 Niagara St Apt 4 Newark, NJ was arrested at the Motel 6 and charged with sexual conduct for a fee along with being in possession of pepper spray without a permit.  Gabriel is also wanted out of Texas and is due to be deported according to Department of Immigration and Customs (ICE). Framingham Man Arraigned in Connection with Shooting

A Framingham man, arrested following a tense standoff in Tewksbury over the weekend, was arraigned Tuesday on charges connected to a Saturday, Aug. 25 shooting in Framingham. Damon Johnson, 26, of Framingham, was arraigned in Framingham District Court on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, possession of a firearm without a firearms identification card, larceny from a building, home invasion, carrying a firearm without a license, intimidating a witness, and receiving stolen property.  Judge Robert Greco ordered the defendant held on $50,000 cash bail with conditions that the defendant not commit a crime, have no possession of guns or weapons, must stay away from the victim and…

SWAT Vehicle Allegedly Involved In Accident After Standoff

The action apparently did not completely stop after law enforcement arrested a shooting suspect, holed up at the Motel 6 Sunday night, Sept. 2. Around 7:30 p.m., Andover State Police reported that a driver said he had been sideswiped on I-93 by an extended blue van driven by a law enforcement officer. According to the driver that was struck, the other driver got out of his vehicle and told him he was going to send him a ticket. According to the report, Deputy Chief John Voto spoke with a representative from SWAT, who was able to identify the officer involved. According to the repot, SWAT will be taking care of the incident. Report: Motel 6 Suspect Wanted For Framingham Shooting

The man apprehended in Tewksbury on Sunday evening is wanted by Framingham Police in connection with a shooting in that town on Aug. 25, according to The Lowell Sun.

The Lowell Sun reports that the man barricaded in a Motel 6 room in Tewksbury on Sunday night and later taken into custody is wanted by Framingham Police in connection with a shooting in that town last weekend. According to The Sun, Tewksbury Police confirmed that the man taken into custody is Damon Johnson, 24, who Framingham Police allege shot a 29-year-old man in the back of the head just before 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25.  Framingham Patch reports that after the shooting on Aug. 25, Johnson allegedly took off in a car while armed with a 9mm handgun and when cornered by police, escaped on foot.
