Chief Begonis Thankful for Support While Deployed in Boston, Watertown Wilmington Police Chief Michael Begonis recounts his experience responding to Boston and Watertown following the bombings at the Boston Marathon. Wilmington Police Lt. Dan Murray, Officer Ronald Alpers and Officer Daniel Cadigan were also in Watertown as members of the RRT. Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for New Wilmington High School t's been a trying time for the Wilmington community, with thousands of residents packing Town Common on Saturday to grieve the loss of MIT Police Officer Sean Collier. Reading Man Arraigned on Fraud Charges A Reading resident, and newspaper delivery man in Woburn, is allegedly behind a string of identity fraud, forgery and larceny incidents. He was arraigned in court this week. Additional Funds Appropriated for School Building Project at Special Town Meeting, 525 to 120 Over 600 residents attended Special Town Meeting at North Reading High School Monday night to vote to appropriate $15.5 million in additional funds for the school building project. School Building Project Needs $15.5 Million More The Board of Selectmen and School Committee held a joint meeting Monday night to announce the new school building project total of $122,652,133. The town will need $15,500,000 more to complete the school the way it was originally designed. Moratorium Proposed For Medical Marijuana Dispensaries in North Reading On Election Day last year, Massachusetts voters approved a ballot proposal that allows medical marijuana sales in the state, which left cities and towns to set regulations for medical marijuana dispensaries.
