ReplyWhere is the money for the parking fee going to? Unless it is put in a reserve for any and all repairs and maintenance to the parking lot facility then there should be no fee.
On another note, as a parent who will have more than 1 child in the HS at a time I am happy to hear that they put a cap in place, of course I do like the Shawsheen costs a bit more as I understand that there is no athletic fee at all.

ReplyElias .. Instead of seeing what a great opportunity this has been for the girls you have to see only a negative.
Congrats to you girls and I hope continued success in the tournament as well as in the future

Marc - In all fairness to your comments, this happens from a much earlier age. We should just start with removing the father / daughter Valentine's dance which is held at the Country Club for the girls age 7-14 because the same thing goes on there, hair done, nails done, groups of fathers/daughters going out to dinner. There are things that I can / cannot afford for my children and when I can do it for them I do, when I cannot afford to do it for them I don't, it just the way life is and I teach my kids this all the time.

ReplyThis is not just about our governor at all. This is about recognizing and thanking companies like Thermo Fisher for creating jobs and investing in the state of Massachusetts. This is far more important than a press appearance and as a result this should be important to all of us as it will continue to add jobs to our state which is hurting.... I do believe this is the ultimate goal!

What a horrible thing you have endured as a parent and how devastating that your son couldn't overcome this demon. My prayers to you and all parents/kids who are dealing with addiction and who may have lost family/friends to drug addiction.
I grew up with a mother that was addicted and unfortunately that is all she passed down as I have several siblings that have also fallen victim to addiction and have spent the better part of their lives fighting this and losing. Fortunately for me I was able to resist, unfortunately this is not easy for all and I won't judge those who have trouble fighting this.
Congrats to Gina for not giving up on your son, anyone who is a parent knows the love a parent has for their child and will do what they believe is best to help their child.
As for you townie, maybe you should stop judging and go spend some time in a clinic helping out since you seem to have all the answers
