Mitt Romney RAN as a conservative. He ran twice on Reagan's "3-legged" conservative stool of values, defense, and economics.

We can argue about his Mass governor's record. IMO he did the best he could with a 145-15 Democrat House and 35-5 Democrat Senate. We were about to vote in via ballot statewide healthcare which would have been a lot worse than what we received out of the Heritage Foundation/Mitt.

Romney was on record to oppose a national system and to repeal Obamacare first day issuing waivers.

It's just as conservative opposing and slowing down liberalism in a liberal state like Massachusetts as it is advancing conservatism in a conservative state like Texas.

I enthusiastically supported and voted for Romney. Was an Internet radio talk show host for him on romneyradio.us from March 2012-November 2012.

There is, to date, no comparison between Gomez and Romney. Romney ran as a Reaganite. Gomez is running as an Hispanic Seal.--a liberal one at that

I don't think it matters who wins this race. We end up with another Obama rubber stamp and a socialist country with either of them.

@ Steve Marino--Gomez is "an across the board conservative?" That's news to me.

Policy wise he's pro abortion, pro homosexual marriage, pro illegal immigration reform/amnesty, flip flopped on the 2nd Amendment, voted for Obama in 2008, begged Deval Patrick to appoint him in Kerry's vacant seat till this election, and in the primary his campaign stated if he was too liberal for you don't vote for him.

If this is an across the board conservative, my believing in a strong defense, economic policies encouraging growth/private sector jobs creation, traditional Judeo-Christian values, and illegals going to the back of the line with border sealed makes me to the political right of Attila the Hun.

Markey is embarrassing, Gomez only a shade less embarrassing on the issues.

Of course. Markey is the farthest lefty running. Lynch is a little bit to the right of Markey--won't work in this radical liberal state.

A state where people publicly clamor for a two party state (like the Boston Globe) then privately always vote for the most liberal candidate running.

What isn't reported is Massachusetts is one of the only states losing population.

That's why we used to have 13 representatives in Washington, now we're down to 8. It's a long term trend as kids come to school here, can't find high enough paying or many decent jobs at all, housing is high, rents are high, cost of living is high, and move elsewhere.

So sure, our numbers look great. When you lose population keeping supply and demand in proximity of one another the numbers look better.

But what would the numbers look like if Massachusetts were gaining population?

Seriously? All three are for homosexual marriage?
Understood that the intended consequence is allowing homosexuals the right to marry based on love and consent.

But do they care about the unintended consequences? The rights of kids to have an optimal safe and stable environment of a mom and dad to be raised? Which parent has become obsolete, mom or dad?

Also, what about the slippery slope of what marriage comes next? Are they guaranteeing there'll be no Incest marriage? Polygymous marriage? Bisexual (one of each gender) marriage? Transgender marriages? Pedophile marriage (lowering consent age)? Communal marriages? Bestial marriages? Necrophilia marriages? Won't they use the same anti discrimination and/or love and consent arguments?

In other words, once marriage is other than between a man and woman doesn't it become anything, and nothing? How does this contribute to a stable and civil society we all have a vested interest in?

I guess I may vote Constitution Party as a protest vote

Patrick is following in the footsteps of fellow comrade Obama.
Anyone not government dependent funding their respective bases, who are.

This is about wealth redistribution siphoning off wealth building making another gun shot wound into the limping American Dream.

If the Middle Class would ever figure out that Democrats simply want to use them to fund those who don't work we could straighten this state out.

No Republican can win in this most liberal state in the union.

Has to be an Independent like Scott Brown, not a Republican.

I agree with Bill Weld around 30% of the time but he would have been the strongest candidate--and not running.
