Tewksbury Family to Appear on 'Family Feud' on Wednesday

Lauren and Brad Wagstaff of Tewksbury will appear on 'Family Feud' on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Lauren and Brad Wagstaff of Tewksbury, along with three family members are set to appear on the popular game show, 'Family Feud' on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

After traveling down to Foxwoods Resort and Casino earlier this year, the Wagstaffs were selected as contestants for the show, and flew down to Atlanta in July to film their episode.

Brad and Lauren's 19-month-old daughter, Jillian, thinks 'Family Feud' host Steve Harvey is "the funniest guy alive," according to Brad, making meeting Harvey that much sweeter.

"How you see Steve on the show is exactly how he acted when the cameras were off," Brad said. "He was either joking around, talking to us or taking questions from the audience."

According to Brad, he and Lauren considered several family members as teammates, inviting several over to watch 'Family Feud' in advance of their auditions.

"We bounced around three or four configurations of teams and we would have them come over the house to see what kind of answers they came up with watching the show," Brad said.

The Wagstaffs decided on Lauren's father, brother and cousin to round out the team.

Brad said having to come up with answers at the podium while taping the episode was much more difficult than doing so from the comfort of your own living room.

"Even when you're sitting in the audience waiting, you're thinking 'why can't they think of the answer?'," Brad said. " When you actually get up there and ring the buzzer, it's much harder, but there had better be words coming out of your mouth."

Brad said he and Lauren have the DVR set, and are excited to tune in Wednesday and watch their episode with Jillian.
