Santa Arrives by Helicopter at the Tewksbury Holiday Celebration

Children lined up inside the library for a chance to let Santa know what was on their Christmas wish list.

Moments after Mrs. Claus arrived by fire truck at the Tewksbury holiday celebration on Saturday, Santa himself touched down in a helicopter behind the Tewksbury Public Library.

Children lined up inside the library for a chance to let Santa know what was on their Christmas wish list.

Outside of the library, patrons of the Tewksbury holiday celebration milled amongst the many vendors and roasted marshmallows over several barrel fires that had been set up.

Vendors included Tewksbury Florist,  Jewell Star Doll Clothes, Tewksbury Firefighters, Tewksbury Police, O'Connor Studios, Tewksbury Rail Trails, Polymer Clay Figurines by Patricia Devine and Boy Scouts Troop 47.

A 20-foot-tall Christmas tree, donated by State Rep. Jim Lyons, stood outside the library, waiting to be lit once the sun went down.
